A journey through the history of Portugal and Brazil following the path of one of the most important figures in the history of both countries.
For 9 days, we will travel through Lisbon, Queluz, Alcobaça, Porto, and various cities in the Alentejo region, visiting palaces, churches, monuments, and places connected to the monarchy, the House of Braganza, and the political transformations of the 19th century.

About the itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Lisbon
Arrival in Lisbon and transfer to the hotel. In the evening, welcome dinner at a typical restaurant.
Day 2: Royal Lisbon
Visit to the National Palace of Queluz and the Museum of the Royal Treasury, followed by a visit to Belém, the Jerónimos Monastery, and the traditional Pastéis de Belém.
Day 3: Historic Lisbon
We will explore some of the most emblematic neighborhoods of the capital, including the Graça viewpoint, the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora, Alfama, and Rossio Square. The afternoon will be free.
Day 4: From Lisbon to Porto
Departure towards Porto, with visits to the Monastery of Alcobaça and the Monastery of Serra do Pilar.
Day 5: Porto and Dom Pedro I
A day dedicated to Dom Pedro’s relationship with Porto and the memory of the Siege of Porto. We will visit the Church of Lapa, Cedofeita Street, the Soares dos Reis National Museum, Aliados Avenue, the City Hall, and the Obelisk of Praia da Memória.
Day 6: From Porto to Vila Viçosa
The journey continues through Alentejo, with visits to Vila Velha de Ródão and the Monastery of Flor da Rosa, before arriving at Vila Viçosa, the historic seat of the House of Braganza.
Day 7: Vila Viçosa
Visit to the Ducal Palace, the Medieval Castle, the historic center, and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Conception. A deep dive into the history of the House of Braganza and the dynasty that ruled Portugal and Brazil.
Day 8: From Vila Viçosa to Lisbon, with stops in Évora Monte and Azeitão
Visit to the Castle of Évora Monte, a site linked to the end of the Portuguese Civil War, followed by a farewell lunch in Azeitão before returning to Lisbon.
Day 9: Farewell to Portugal
Transfer from the hotel to the airport and end of the itinerary.
